About

Hi! Ive been playing and/or coaching (youth) basketball all my life. This includes city league, middle school, high school, AAU, Recreational, and leagues during college. I’ve played all over California and Texas, Las Vegas, New York and more. My strongest skill has always been handling the ball. With a great understanding of ambidexterity, court vision, compound moves, and footwork, I can have you/your child , running circles around the competition like MAGIC JOHNSON! I put an emphasis on back to back drills for practice with playing through fatigue and driving strongly to the basket.

I mostly enjoy seeing a student figure out a move they’ve been working on or have always wanted to learn. It reminds me of the days of seeing a highlight from Tracy McGrady and rewinding it over and over and OVER again until I could do the move with the same amount of speed and believability. I do believe Basketball is the greatest sport and helping the youngsters develop the skills to take this game further is like gold!!

Frequently asked questions

First, I discover where the student is skill wise and mentally through a game of one on one. (Not considered part of the lesson)! This well help me to draw from a wide array of drills and games I’ve picked up over the years to create a system to eliminate weaknesses in the student’s game.

Ive played for great teams my whole School career and became a skills coach for the youth team in church during college. I continue to better my skills and play in tournaments in the city of Austin.

$20 per Lesson! Not a typo! (lasting a little over an hour). I’m pretty flexible and informal, we can work out an affordable plan!

I started teaching skills and coaching in a program called College FOR Kids back in California. Since then, I’ve picked up gigs for church youth groups which led to me doing a couple solo sessions.

I work with the youth. The ones who have the interest or talent and just need a mentor. Typically students have a particular skill they want to work on.

Winning a 3-on-3 tournament!! 💪🏾

Figure out what type of game you want to have (have players in mind). Wether you want to be a spot up shooter like Klay Thompson, a high post expert like Carmelo Anthony, a wizard with the crossover like Kyrie, or all around like a Kobe or Kawhi Leonard. Know what you want to learn and how you want to play this game.
