About
I have been playing basketball at a high level for many years. I know what it takes to be great and to be average. I want to provide the skill and IQ that I was taught and not taught while growing up. I have a passion for helping athletes grow and continue to find their love for the game and understand their strenghts and weaknesses. I love strength and conditioning and think it is so important for youth athletics. It is the base of all sports!
Former McDonald's All-American, Former UT Lady Longhorn, and 7 year professional player in Europe.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depends what the student wants help with. For example, if the student wants skill enhancement the first time we work on the court will be an evaluation. I will put him or her through various dribbling drills, footwork agility, shooting drills to see where the player is. I meet the player where he or she is in their skill and understanding of the game. We talk about strenghts, weaknesses, and goals from their perspective. I answer any questsions they may have or address in fears or doubts they have in themselves.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In terms of basketball- Oklahoma all stater, gatorade player of the year, Miss Oklahoma, McDonalds All American, 4 year starter for the Longhorns, 7 year European professional. Fair to say I know how to play the game.
Athletic Performance - I am a certified NeuBie trainer (electro rehab and fitness). Was a coach at Train 4 The Game for 1 year and Trainer at NeuFit for 2 years and client for 5 years. So I understand injury prevention and how to keep athletes strong in their sport.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard Individual 1 hour sessions are $65
and we can discuss packaging after our initial workout!
How did you get started teaching?
I have been coaching since freshman year in college. Athletes have to work sport camps in the summer and I really grew to like working with kids and understand I have lots of knowledge to share. I am retired now so it is my turn to GIVE BACK TO THE SPORT!
What types of students have you worked with?
Boys and girls from 3rd or 4th grade on up to professional mens and womens basketball players.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that the teacher has experience in specific ways or areas that you would like to grow in. If you dont know, ask lots of questions to the teacher first!
I would list out your top 3 goals, why those are important to you. Ask your teacher or coach if they can help you accomplish your goals, how long will it take, and how they would do it!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students need to identify their own strengths and weaknesses before asking for help. Also, ask themselves how far they are willing to go or hard they are willing to work to improve their game and make specific goals.
