Frequently asked questions

I will evaluate what level that student is at and then work with that dtudent to see what areas he or she needs to work on first.  The student will learn at their own pace, in a relaxed and supportive stmosphere.

I am a self-taught artist myself.

I charge by the hour or monthly if that works better for the student. I work with the student to insure that my pricing works for them and does not create a hardship. I’m pretty flexible

I love to teach! And I also love to mentor. It was only natural that I would gravitate towards helping others teach their creative goals. I love to see beginning artists thrive.

I have worked with students of all ages , both genders, From beginners to advanced,

I was just contacted by an aspiring, emerging artist to actually help her improve her srtistic skills from a distance, online. I feel a real connection with her and I am excited to mentor her and help her realize her dream of becoming a fullfilled artist herself.

first, I would adk how vomfortable are you , the student, with this instructor. I believe the student needs to feel that he or she is in a “safe” space. It’s so etimes hard for new artists as they can feel intimidated and vulnerable.

They need support and encouragement from an instructor who really knows what it’s like to be a beginner.

They need to have a roadmap. It’s eady to get lost along the way when trying to pursue a career in the art world.

They need to ask authentic and honest wuestions of their instructor and also of themselves. Such as “what do I actually want my art carrer to look like?”
