I have a passion for teaching new skills and techniques to students. The moment when you see a student's thought process or skill level change is what I thrive on.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I start by discussing the student's current knowledge and experience, then going over the goals the student has. From there, I develop a training plan to meet the needs of my student.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Texas License to Carry Instructor. Texas Private Security Level III firearm and classroom instructor. Defensive Tactics Instructor.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$50 per hour, with some structured training modules being a flat fee.

How did you get started teaching?

I realized I have a passion for teaching people, and I was constantly told I am a great teacher and that people relate to me very well. This has been confirmed by countless prior students.

What types of students have you worked with?

Children, adults, male/female, limited abilities and students with special needs or disabilities.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find an instructor that doesn't just do it on weekends for side money. The cheapest instructor is rarely the best.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How long have you been teaching this?

How often do you teach this?

What are my goals and expectations?
