Three Things I Teach

My previous work as an engineer brought to my teaching experience a number of things that are not really taught to new graduate teachers: 1. Whenever possible, provide students with more than one way to solve a math problem; 2.Show students how to save time in solving math problems on standardized tests; and 3. Teach students to believe in themselves.

My Philosophy

I decided at age seven, to graduate from the University of Texas with an engineering degree, which I eventually did. But more importantly, having survived West Nile Virus and four serious bike accidents, I tell my students: "Never, ever give up your dream!"
