About
I personalize each art lesson to the student's skill level and interest. I have a wide range of knowledge and skills in various 2d and 3d art forms and have a passion for helping students express their artistic style with the skills we learn in lessons.
I have been a professional artist and teacher, in Virginia and then Texas, after recieving a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from James Madison University in 1997. I have run my own painting and then fine jewelry business as well as created the ArtExplorers program for children 3-5 years old.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I meet with them and discuss their goals and current skill levels. Then we work on a project so I can observe their current level. With children, the first intro lesson is discounted.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and 20 years experience running my own companies. I also developed the ArtExplorers program for young children and have been teaching it for 10 years.
