Doug Sin Art Studio
About
My philosophy on art is that art is a journey that is not meant to be perfect. There will be mistakes that are made along the way but those mistakes make us better people and artists.
I enjoy showing others that making art is not difficult and with practice, anyone can make art they can be proud of.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to have a consultation with the student and see what are they looking out of art and their art goals. Then get an estimate of their technical skill level and art knowledge. Depending on the student's skill level, I devised a lesson plan to help work toward the student's goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas with a minor in Art History. Along with my education, I have 17 years of painting experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$45 an hour
How did you get started teaching?
It all started with inviting some friends to come to my home to learn about painting on a Sunday and it turned into a weekly event for a few months. It really sparked my passion for art and for teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
As of now, I have not worked with any students but I am looking forward to teaching art very soon.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Art is a constant journey, and as long as you have a good foundation, anything is possible.
