About

I co-founded Moon Gallery & Studio in 2017 with my creative partner, Lauren Tarbel. Moon Gallery & Studio showcased the work of local and national artists in a number of solo and group exhibitions, offered classes and workshops in a variety of mediums, and hosted weekly and monthly figure drawing classes both in-person and online for several years.

I currently teach national online drawing classes for Michaels Stores as well as ongoing private lessons and customized online courses from my studio at Canopy in East Austin.

I enjoy helping students develop an art practice that can sustain the perpetual growth of their skills over time. It is very rewarding to me to observe my students experience breakthroughs in their personal expression.

I’ve been collecting from Adrienne for the last five years and love her work. We collaborated on an incredible large scale, triptych piece and then I purchased a smaller piece a couple years later that has become my favorite in our collection. Adrienne has a distinct eye for movement and composition that I love- no matter how long I have these pieces hanging, I constantly find myself discovering elements of depth and nuance that I hadn’t noticed before.

They are fun and professional at the same time. I expanded my skills and my imagination. I have taken several classes through Moon Gallery and it is always an enriching experience.

Adrienne starts her classes with insight and encouragement. Right away I felt free to be an awful artist because she showed us how much time and practice it takes to become a good one. I love how she works right along side us so we can see the process and also the mistakes. She is a wonderful teacher and makes learning easy and fun. I would absolutely take more classes with her.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. I taught public middle and high school art for several years. I have taught students of all ages for the past twelve years, but my focus has remained teaching adults in community-based classes and private lessons. I am a full-time, professional artist in the Austin community. I have also led professional development seminars for fellow art educators in district-wide events for Austin ISD and Killeen ISD. In my spare time, I audit college courses on subjects pertaining to quantum physics and neuroscience for research in my personal artwork which explores ideas of identity and the passage of time using primarily calligraphy ink and high quality paper.
