The Beauty Therapists Massage Institute are providers of individual part-time or full time beauty therapy training courses, beauty skills updates, beginning massage therapy training, advanced therapy and beauty equipment training courses.
As a beauty and health specialist, you will expect to earn in excess of $40.00 per hour and you can decide to work for yourself as an independent contractor, or be a part of an organization. As a massage therapist, your choices are vast, and each has its advantages and disadvantages. Our job is to train you, equip you with the business skills you need, and direct you to the appropriate career path.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually start by finding out what they know about massage therapy, and take it from there. Knowing there expectations and their goals will be next. During this process, I am able to know the student, and their learning style, which will come in handy on how to move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in health care management. I had a formal education in massage therapy at a very young age and graduated, with a diploma in health and beauty therapy. I have been teching now for over 3o years.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teching because I have a unique massage protocol, that is never thought anywhere else. So to I decided to start teaching to share this unique technique with more people.
What types of students have you worked with?
As a massage therapy instructor, I love what I do. That means that I am eager to let my students know how excited I am about massage therapy. That being said, I have worked with all type of students. From 18yrs to 78yrs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a student from Asia, who was not fluent in speaking english. I was able to get her through the program, and within 6 months, she could speak very fluent english, and passed her licensing exam in english. I was so trilled and so proud of how we both pulled through.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that has experience and love what they do.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
No question is a dumb question
