I believe that each student is unique and has something special that they bring to their own education. My goals include helping my students express themselves in both writing and discussion to discover their own strengths and opinions, as well as embrace the differences of others.
I enjoy working one on one with my students and in this setting, I can give them the attention they need without the distraction of another 60 to 90 students clamoring for the same attention.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When we first meet, I like to find out what the student hopes to learn in our sessions, and what type of learner the student is. That helps me decide how to structure lessons to best help the student learn at their most rapid pace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Arts in English, and 40 years of experience in teaching English grammar and punctuation whether in English classes or corporate training.
I have taught both in-person and over the internet which helps me understand the difference between the needs of the online learner and the face-to-face learner.
