What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently pursuing my Master of Music degree in Flute Performance at Florida State University with a full scholarship and Graduate Teaching Assistantship.

Previously, I obtained my Bachelor of Music Degree at University of North Texas.

Prior to North Texas, I studied at Shenyang Conservatory of Music (China) as a flute performance major since age thirteen.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$25/30 mins

$35/45 mins

$45/60 mins

For lessons at students' place

$10 in addition to the rate above

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students ranging from 8 to 65 years. Most of them are secondary school students. I have also worked with a student with hearing disabilities.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Every person has their unique experience and understanding in their area of expertise, therefore each teacher has their own approach. I would suggest taking a lesson with the teachers you are interested in first and see if you like their approaches. It is important to have a teacher whose approach make sense to you and suits your learning style. Find a teacher that make you feel comfortable and confident because you will learn more and improve faster when you feel that way.
