What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I will help the student become comfortable with making sounds on the flute. Then we will go through a beginner flute book and work on skills they need the most improvement on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have just graduated from Leander High School. I completed both middle school and high school band in Leander ISD. I have gone through leader camps that have helped me improve my teaching and have practiced these skills with my fellow peers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$15 half an hour, $30 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I have just graduated high school, but I have been helping teach flute to my high school peers since sophmore year.
