About
My knowledge for game past, present and future has made me successful in my own life as well as those whom I train with. I also know how to make the game fun for those in between ages before it gets to be a lifestyle in its own. Though I do enjoy working with excited and devoted individuals most of all.
I also now offer a virtual experience while I am out of country. All you need is a ball, a local park or gym, and a camera.
I enjoy seeing students transcend their past beliefs of themselves and develop into confident players that can excel on both ends. That face everyone makes when something that had been troubling them finally clicks, it makes my day every time.
As for my speciality I specialize in Point Guards and Bigs most of all, though I feel the skills that make each of those positions great translate to all others. On Offense I teach the way the game used to be played with players like Bob Cousy & Bill Russel. Teams like those coached by Greg Popovich or Phil Jackson. Where ball movement, fundamentals, and overall the ability to communicate forces players to excel on both ends.
Offensive skills you will learn are: proper tried & true shooting mechanics, ball control, pace, ball movement, & communication that use the success of past and present players to mold you into the athlete you’ve always dreamed about.
Defense was always my main focus in the good ole days. I’ll ensure you understand not only the schemes you’ll see, but even those old ones you’ve not heard of yet like the 1-3-1, 1-1-3, as well as half court and full court trapping schemes no one bothers to teach before or at the AAU level. As well as more common 2-3, box & 1, and of course my particular favorite 5 out man defense for both half, mid, & full court systems.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I have 3-5 drills that will help me determine the students' skill level. From there I will adjust the workouts accordingly.
I've worked with players anywhere from 3yr. - players like Tacko Fall before his collegiate career, and with players at Texas A&M like Alex Caruso, Danuel House, & the rest of the 15'-16' yr class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was in training and a player since the 6th grade. I began running workouts for other players my Sophmore year in high school working with anywhere from toddlers, to 7fters like Tako Fall, learning to run up and down the court effectively, and shooting mechanics on freethrows.
I was a manager for Texas A&M during the '15-'16 season working with players like Alex Caruso, and Danuel House.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is determined by the level of the player, their enthusiam, and extensiveness of the workout.
How did you get started teaching?
My AAU coaches wife got pregnant, and he requested I run the practices one day when he was running late. He liked the way I did things, and we continued from there, where he eventually let me run entire workouts and individual drills for players.
What types of students have you worked with?
3yr. Olds to Collegiate athletes, such as Alex Caruso, Danuel House, and Tacko Fall.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find one with the same intensity and passion for the sport as you do. If they are too devoted they may be disappointed in you when you fall short of their expectations. Also setting up short and long term goals with your training to help y'all collectively get where you're going.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I want to get out if this training session/sessions?
Where do I want to be in my sport within the next Month, Year, Middle school/High School etc.?
How does this teacher suggest they can get you there, and is this something I'm willing to do?
