What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I start with a discussion of what they are trying to achieve, what their physical challenges are, if any (i.e bad knees, back , shoulder, hips etc).  I'll access what their current lifestyle honestly consists of.

They will receive a fitness accessment as a starting point.

I will take this information and custom design a workout (nutrition plan also if desired) for them.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

AAFA - Group Exercise, AAFA - Personal Training, Balanced Body University  - Pilates Reformer, Balanced Body University, Pilates Mat with Small Apparatus, BFit University Yoga, ACE - Corrections Specialist, ACE - Personal Training, Certification in Latin Dance Cardio and Zumba, SCW Certification in Stretching and Flexibillity.  Numerous other certifications!  to many to mention.

I am very proud to be the person who assists walkers warm up and stretch before The Dallas Liver Walk every year.


What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

If you don't have a personal referal, be sure to interview them and make sure they are a good personality match as well as a good knowledge base.  You will get a good feel of their knowledge by speaking with them (ask lots of questions). 


What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Will they be able to modify exercises around any injuries or physical issues you may have? 

Do they understand how to give make your workouts progressive? 

Are they experienced?
