Color & Light Painting Workshop, established in 2009 in Dallas, Texas, offers open studio painting workshops in a casual and relaxing environment. Guided by contemporary fine art painter Cynthia Chartier, the workshop welcomes artists of all skill levels, from children to adults. They offer classes, workshops, team-building events, private lessons and parties. The workshop has seen great success with their ongoing weekly sessions and various themed painting parties. Aimed at fostering self-discovery through art, it is a hub of creativity and learning.

I have been teaching secondary art for 14 years in DISD. I hold a BA in The Visual Arts and MA in Education. In teaching drawing and painting, I believe that exercises must achieve a balance between learning technique and developing self-expression. As students are guided through the creative thinking exercises I help ensure that they develop their individual artistic style and not become clones of the illustrations I have used. I would love to teach you to sew. I have several sewing machines if you do not have your own yet. A little about me, I am a Fashion Designer with over 30 years of experience. My mother taught me to sew at age 6, and got me my first adult sewing machine at age 8. I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology (Critics Choice Award Winner, and graduated Summa Cum Laude) and Central St. Martins Art College in London. Let me know if you have any other questions.
