DFW Gun Range & Academy is a professionally operated indoor shooting range built around safety, structure, and responsible firearms use. Every guest is checked in by trained staff, safety rules are strictly enforced, and our range is continuously monitored by certified Range Safety Officers. For first-time shooters and group events, we offer fully instructor-led experiences so no one is ever left on their own. Whether someone is brand new or highly experienced, our goal is the same every time: a controlled environment, clear instruction, and a safe, confidence-building experience from start to finish.
Our senior instructor at DFW Gun Range & Academy with a strong focus on safety, fundamentals, and practical real-world shooting skills. He teaches Intro to Handguns, LTC courses, and guided range instruction, covering proper grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, safe loading and unloading, malfunction clearing, and responsible firearm handling. Pete is especially skilled at working with first-time shooters and helping students build confidence without pressure, making sure they understand not just how to shoot, but why techniques matter. His teaching style is calm, direct, and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on repeatable fundamentals that translate to safer, more effective shooting both on the range and in everyday carry situations.
Our Ranger Experiences are designed to be exciting and exceptionally safe. Every session is led by a certified instructor who stays with the group the entire time, from the initial safety briefing to the final shot on the range. Instructors maintain direct control of the firearms, coach each guest one-on-one while shooting, and tailor the pace and firearm selection to each person’s comfort and ability. No one is rushed, no one is left unsupervised, and safety rules are reinforced continuously. This structure allows first-time shooters and experienced guests alike to enjoy multiple firearms in a controlled, confidence-building environment where safety always comes first.
