Experienced Math & English Tutor

I have 10 years of tutoring and teaching experience at a variety of levels and in several subjects, including tutoring through university programs and teaching university-level courses. My qualifications include:

- B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan

- M.A. in English and M.F.A in Creative Writing from Northwestern University

- Top scores on the GRE (99 percentile) and LSAT (96 percentile), as well as insight into effective test-taking methods

As a teacher, I am especially skilled in identifying the root of a student's misunderstanding. Whether I am working with someone on Multivariable Calculus or SAT Reading Comprehension, I am able to anticipate and convey the fundamental skills and concepts that they are missing. 

I love helping someone grasp difficult concepts or employ new skills in a way that surprises them. In general, I employ an empathetic approach to teaching, meaning I meet students where they are and encourage them through spells of self-doubt.
