About this pro

Hands on one on one creative demonstration teaching students how to actually "see" value in painting and showing them how its done with oil paint. Realism style.

It is extremely gratifying to see a student grasp the mechanics of the artistic process as I make it crystal clear the easy steps necessary to to realize a great painting.

Aside from the exhibiting of my work, the side income I garner makes the sweat and tears all worthwhile.

I have won Best of Show or placed in many exhibitions throughout the U.S. and Europe. But I love teaching beginners!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Depending on students' skill levels, I will tailor a curriculum expressly designed to mollify their exhisting capabilities. Concentrating on specific areas of weakness by addressing the stumbling blocks along the way and customizing the approach to a given problem area.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a BA graduate in advertising and studio art from the University of North Texas and was awarded a scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania. I have been mentored by internationally known painter Chapman Kelly and had private art lessons at the Dallas Museum of Fine Art from luminaries such as; Otis Dozier, Barney Delebano and Ann Cushing Ganz.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
