What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I identify a new student's personality and how it may help or hinder their ability to learn the Guitar.
I then explain the attitude I have selected to use as my approach to teaching that particular student.
I begin with the basics of holding the guitar and pressing down on the strings. I follow with finger exercises, scales, and chords.

I finish with teaching the student their song of choice.
I require students to have a notebook with graph paper, a ruler, and a pencil...that is if they want to keep a record of what they have learned.

Learned from private professionals in various countries. Have been playing guitar since early grunge.

I can charge whatever. But when I charge a high price, I save a portion of the tuition for an investment towards the future of my student. Usually a helpful gift, and a return on the student's investment.
How did you get started teaching?
By playing on the street and attracting new students.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your teacher enjoys teaching. You can quickly tell a teacher that only teaches for money. I am not one of them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
