My goal is to provide your student with the most success and enjoyment on their instrument. I provide individualized instruction on your instrument to help you achieve your goals. I have been teaching privately for over 15 years. I have taught all over the DFW metroplex and San Antonio. I am a certified teacher in music education. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Texas Flute Society and a member of the Texas Music Educators Association.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As a new student, I assess where the student is and come up with a plan to the student. After discussing the student's goals for their instrument success, I develop a plan for the student and work to help them achieve their goals.

Bachelor of Music Education, (Flute, Oboe, Bassoon)

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing begins at $25 for a half hour lesson. Most clients select an hour option. Additional charge of $15 for extensive travel to student's home.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching in public school as an independent instructor since 1998. I have enjoyed watching many students be successful at regional, area, and state band competitions.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught all types of students from gifted and talents to students with special needs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am a active participant in the Texas Flute Society and am co-chair of the festival held in Denton, TX each year.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would look for an experienced teacher who demonstrates patience and understanding but also a teacher that can encourage positive development in learning your instrument.
