About
My priority as a teacher is to work with my students on determining their musical goals, to set up a direct path toward attaining those goals, and to offer objective, substantive feedback along the way.
When we set clear and reasonable expectations for ourselves and practice diligently, there is pretty much nothing we can’t achieve!
I have been writing and playing music for nearly twenty years, and during that time I’ve developed a large catalog of original music, as well as a strong insight for what makes a good song or piece of music work. It is my passion and privilege to share what I’ve learned with others, and I feel very lucky to do so!

Frequently asked questions
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

A good teacher is more than just a good player; a good teacher must be able to estimate quickly a student's particular goals and to communicate concisely the concepts necessary to achieve those goals
