About
I am calm and patient and a good listener. I understand the the elements of art and design and the technique of acrylic and watercolor painting. I can teach drawing as well. I use short fun activities to introduce my students to color, line, shape, value before taking on a finished painting.
I love to teach art and meet knew people.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start out by asking the person about prior experience and what they want to accomplish in my class. I explain how the medium works whether its watercolor or acrylic. I do a demonstration on the appropriate way to use the paint. We work on line exercises, color theory, washes, color mixing. I encourage positive thinking in a relaxed setting. The student will begin with simple natural forms like flowers or leaves. I will also teach basic one - point perspective, contour drawing, and the elements of art.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Art. I have a Texas teaching certificate. Since I graduated I have taken numerous workshops in watercolor and pottery. I have exhibited in local art shows in Texas and Colorado. I am currently a practicing studio artist.
