Whether you are just trying to find a creative outlet, try new things or develop your natural drawing or painting abilities, I can PERSONALIZE your art lessons in Drawing, Painting, Print making, Weaving, Crochet, Basketry, Embroidery, Hand-lettering and Calligraphy.
I love making things and I have been an artist my whole life. There are many aspects to learning art: theory and culture, history, technique and creative expression.
My favorite part about teaching art, is watching each person discover their own abilities and unique talents.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initial meeting and consultation is free, in order to communicate your goals and expectations and how I can help you meet them. After that we progress as needed on an individual basis.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors of Fine Art in Painting and a Minor in Art History from the University of Houston.
Masters of Fine Arts in Fibers from University of North Texas.
Texas Educator Certificate for Art - 1st-12th grade
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For individual private lessons:
$30 for 30 minutes or $40 for 1 hour
Pack of 5 /1 hour lessons: $150
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching as a Teaching Assistant at UNT and I have continued ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and all levels of experience.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to think about and let your teacher know what your specific expectations and goals are for your experience are. For example: Do you want to be given a self contained project to complete within one or two lessons?Do you want to learn new techniques that you can take home and practice on your own?
