ArtBeat Instruction
About
An artist might be: self-taught, formally instructed at schools or institutes of higher learning, informally taught or a combination of the three. I offer an informal home setting with a peacefully controlled environment (allergy friendly). It is individually based teaching with one on one instruction. All levels are welcome from the beginner or hobbyist to the career artist.
Increase Awareness:
Students will learn how to be aware by cultivating the use of all their senses (seeing, hearing, touch, taste, smell).
Tune Perception:
Students will grasp the idea of how to see versus just looking. It takes more time and concentration to see.
Stimulate and encourage their imagination:
The imagination is what sets one artist apart from another. Creativity comes from our imagination, which draws
upon all our past experiences and knowledge.
Enable Self-expression:
Expression is the relationship between thinking and feeling and the ability to translate it into a two-dimensional visual image.
Expand Vocabulary:
Explain art-related terms to improve communication.
Understand Fundamentals:
Cover Elements and Principles of Art as well as the Concepts of Perspective.
Practice Techniques:
Explore different mediums and learn the essentials for each or specialize.
Develop Style:
Familiarize the student with styles from realism to abstract to help them find their own. (Cartooning and Anime are not taught.)
Art lessons are known to help children succeed in school and other areas of life. For adults, art can help improve additional skills such as problem-solving abilities and critical-thinking. Art lessons can change a persons approach to things and help them gain a more open attitude towards learning.
I whole heartedly believe in individuality and being your own person. When you are able to express yourself in a piece of art whether it is a sculpture, painting, a poem, dance etc. As you express yourself you'll be able to find yourself as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assess>mood>create>critique In the initial meeting I have them draw or show me their sketchbook drawings and so I can see what the students Artistic level is or where I would need to start with the particular student. According to the results hat i get I will adjust the skill level at the beginning and slowly start to challenger students and their creativity and artistic abilities for growth. I also use music so the students can connect to their emotions while creating.
