Amber was very knowledgable about different techniques and types of paints. She helped me choose what would be best for what I was wanting to do. I chose acrylics because I am wanting more of an abstract look not so realistic so blending isnt an issue. She taught me some cool fun tricks to make really neat artwork.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we discuss what it is they want to learn or make or accomplish. Then i ask a bunch of questions so i can gauge their current knowledge and skill in that area so i know where to start. No need teaching about a color wheel to someone who knows what complimentary, tertiary or secondary colors means!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been painting many years. I have studied art in school as well. But most of my knowledge has come about through hands on trial and error and self teaching. With anything arts and crafts the only way to learn it well is to do it...books can only teach the concepts not help u apply them in practice.
