The Art Lounge is owned and operated by Trayc Claybrook and Karin Wisman.

Trayc and Karin have been creating in downtown Garland since 2019. Trayc is a professor of art for the Dallas College system and Karin is a life long crafter and is expanding her art skills. We welcome and love working with students at all skill levels.

We love watching the creative process emerge in our students. The aha moments, the relaxing into it moments, the I can not wait to come back and do more moments. We create along side our students and enjoy the friendship and trust building process as well.

    We always invite prospective students to come and check out the studio and meet us.

    When a student starts we like to start at the beginning. It's all about building a good foundation with the basics.

    We work at the pace of the student but will always push our students to new levels.

    Trayc has a PhD in Art and Design and has taught at The Art Institute of Dallas and the Dallas College System for over 25 years.

    Karin has been crafting and making her whole life. She is working on her art skills.

    Lessons are $30 for one hour of classroom time.

    We provide all of the materials, instruction and clean up!

    Trayc and Karin both have a passion for creating and wanted to include a classroom space in our shop to share and teach our love of creating.

    All ages and all skill levels! We welcome everyone in our space!

    We love all our events. We have private students, group classes, we host birthday parties, bachelorette parties, Gals Night Out gatherings.

    Each event we host has a vibe all its own and each one is special to us!
