About
I teach all ages, from beginner to advanced, helping them develop playing skills necessary for all styles of music. The classical methodology I use establishes strong foundational skills for classical, popular, church, jazz and blues. Students give two recitals a year. Participation in festivals and competitions is offered. Member MTNA/TMTA/ADMTA. I am also a UIL accompanist.
I teach from 9 am to 7 pm - public school, and adults and home school throughout the day.
My goal is for them to develop a love for the piano - how it sounds, feels to play, and the enjoyment of playing for others.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Prior to making any commitment I have potential students visit with me in my studio. It's a great opportunity for us to meet so you to see where and how I teach. Once lessons begin I start with a pieces at various skill levels to determine the level of music to begin with. In no time at all we are off and running! :)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Degrees in piano performance and sacred music.
Extensive teaching experience.
