Coach Tom is so good with my oldest. He can pinpoint her strengths and weaknesses. She looks forward to each lesson. He is easy to communicate with and is great with adjusting times and locations if needed.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Assessment, preparation, practice with lots of touches of the ball, and demonstrations, I show you how is done.

Soccer, like many sports, involved a collection of movements that are performed to manipulate a ball as part of an invasion game. These manipulations of the ball are called skills; it is crucial to master a number of skills to become a solid soccer player.

Here are a few examples:

  • Driven pass
  • Heading
  • Scissors move to beat an opponent
  • Volleying the ball
  • Side foot pass
  • Back heel
  • Chest control of the ball

The list could go on and on. My goal is to ensure the player is comfortable performing individual skills so can make a solid team contribution.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I recently held one-on-one training for players that I primarily coach in a group setting, and the results surprised me. Because of a change of environment, various areas of need were revealed in each player. This sharpened focus on the individual showed the technical skills that need to be corrected.

The bottom line is, when you focus on the group, you miss a lot of the finer details, which is why private Lessons are so important.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

normally my price is $60 per hour, but I decided to drop it to $45 to make it more affordable for the parents that are already spending too much money  in their kids.
