Every painting is different, just like every painter - from professional to amateur. We seek to play into the learning style of your pupil while using a mix of classical methods from the 19th Century Parisian Academy (realistic drawing/painting from observation) & modern things like abstraction I learned as a student at Pratt, New York City's premier art school.

I was inspired to pick up the brush more than 15 years ago because of my admiration for the Old Masters. In learning about the greats such as Raphel, Tiziano, Carravaggio, Vermeer, Goya, Surratt, Turner and de Kooning - my favorite 21st Century painting stars like Kehinde Wiley, Lucian Freud and Kara Walker - we can gleam so much technique as well as inspiration.
