I have been writing songs, as I like to say, since I could pick up a pencil. I've always leaned toward creativity, mainly in music. I have put a lot of passion into writing my songs for years which has allowed my songs to be very unique- they are my heart songs. I've currently just finished my sophomore year in college as a songwriting student, so I have a few more things under my belt to share.
It's important to know before you start that there is no one way to write a song, as most songwriters will be unique, and it would be lovely if I can help you understand why! Do not be afraid to write because you're not sure if others will like it, if you're writing for you- act like it! I am here to embrace your uniqueness and increase the quality of your writing, not tell you who to be. Now lets do some songwriting!
Songwriting is such a unique and underlooked craft with a huge variety of perspectives. Songs are a good way to understand who people are and what's going through their heads which is why it can be so easy to shy away. However, it becomes a happy place- when you can't figure out what to do or say, your expression is put to music and you're lost in that zone. It's truly wonderful.
