Hi my name is Anna, I am a junior in High School. I have always been ahead in my classes and loved helping others. I take all AP's and am ahead in all my subjects. I want to help students in middle school and elementary school. As someone who is in high school I am a non-threatening tutor to students, someone who they can see as a friend. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I start working with a new student I begin with an introduction so they can get to know me, and move on to a check-in of sorts. I want to learn what they want to get out of a lesson and what I can most help them with. I also would need to see where they are at, so we would do some problems relating to what they need help with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am in the education system right now, I am at the top of my class and take advanced coursework. My most valuable asset is knowing what the teachers your kids have want to see.

How did you get started teaching?
Volunteering with middle schools and elementary schools to tutor, and then moving to an online platform because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
