Coach Brunson knows his stuff and is really good with the kids. He sets high expectations and doesn't go easy on them but also knows when to praise them for their progress. My son has been working with him for a year or 2 now and has come a long way both on the mound and at the plate. I would definitely recommend.

Best training in town, hands down. Coach knows his stuff and works my boy hard each time! Can’t wait to see him keep developing my son!

Coach Brunson is great! He has been working with our 9 year old for baseball (hitting, pitching) and basketball for around a year, depending on the season. He is demanding, but patient at the same time. We see our child making real strides and improvements. Our son tends to get off task rather easy, but coach Brunson is able to focus him and get him back on track.

Coach Brunson is very hands-on and flexible with his students. He evaluates where they are (skill level)and then taylors his instruction to meet them where they are and begin building from there. I really like that he is firm and steady but always keeps it positive and encouraging. My child has made great improvement since beginning to work with him and his condlfidence level has grown. I Highly recommend him!!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Get a clear understanding of what is our point of emphasis and devise a plan of action for that emphasis.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 15 years of sports training experience coming from the Detroit area. I started Michigan Heavy Hitters Sports as a year round training program for kids in the City of Detroit. (2012-2017) We trained kids from age 7 through college in our baseball training facility The Jackie Robinson Sports Complex. I have coaching experience at the high school (8 years), little league and travel ball levels. I also have 22 yrs of basketball coaching/training experience. I have developed kids at the elementary, middle, high and post grad levels.
