Andrew Byers Cello Lessons

18 years playing experience. Played sixth through 12th in the Orchestra. Took private lessons seven years before graduating high school. Played one year in the West Texas A&M University Symphony including a year of private study with the Cello Professor there. I had a full ride at WT for one year based on playing abilities and other educational requirements. I've played in chamber groups/ensembles, a pops orchestra, The Ivy Camerata Youth Orchestra. I've been to Summer music camps: One Summer at Plano East Senior High School for a week, two Summers at Hardin-Simmons University for a week, and one Summer at The University of North Texas, for a week, the camp being solely for cellists. I've played for a college musical. I was hired for one concert by The Amarillo Symphony. Solo and ensemble awards include six superiors, the highest rating! For ensemble playing also received all superior ratings as well as a few exemplary awards which are given out sparingly.

I love music. I love helping others. Confident in my abilities to teach Cello. Limited experience giving private lessons. I taught 2 students in Guymon, Ok for a period which was short lived. Even so, I loved seeing their progress from week to week.
