A recent student, a highly trained professional mariner with years of experience in the field, recently called our office to relay a story.  He was traveling on business and noticed his seatmate did not look well.  He said he recalled his first aid training and asked the man a few questions and found that he was in the early stages of diabetic shock.  Utilizing his training he was able to alert a flight attendant and get the passenger sugar and liquids, thus reversing his declining state.  He relayed to us that it was because of his recent training that he was comfortable and willing to act in an emergency situation.

Having your employees trained in basic first aid and CPR/AED can mean the difference between life or death.  Empowering your staff with the knowlege and skills of American Red Cross training can have many benefits in addition to an added layer of safety and security in your workplace.
