Harmony Stained Glass

Our goal is to offer a variety of events to suit people who are looking for a glass experience.

To this end, we offer workshops that range from a simple to complex.  You might want to have a little taste of glass in a 2-hour Friday evening BYOB with friends.  Even with no experience, we guarantee you'll have a good time and create something that you're proud of. 

If you have bigger plans, you can take a once a week class to learn glass skills and create something that will become an heirloom in your family.  Once you start down the road to becoming a glass crafter, you might find yourself working in glass for the rest of your life.

I've been working with glass since 1997. From my first score and break, I was hooked.  We opened Harmony in 2003 and we've taught glass skills to thousands of people since then.

We've been teaching glass fusing for more than ten years. 

We have the depth of experience to help you feel comfortable and to be successful.

After creating stained glass art for five years on my own, I wanted a stained glass store. But first, I needed to know if I could teach it. I called a couple of friends and we met in my garage for a few evenings. They both came away with completed projects and were happy with their outcome. I opened Harmony in April of 2003. I've been teaching virtually every day since then.

Anyone who wants to explore a new craft should try their hand at glass art. From your first score and break, you'll be amazed at how easy it is to start learning stained glass. If you're more captivated by the appeal of melting glass in a kiln, then GLASS FUSING might be your craft of choice. In fusing, we assemble glass at a workbench and then move it to the kiln for the magic to happen. 14 to 24 hours later, we open the kiln to see the transformation. It is serious fun.

Teaching makes me happy. I enjoy imparting knowledge to people who are eager to learn. Since working with glass is fun, everyone who comes here is glad to be here. I was recently asked to do a presentation to an organization named "Glass Gathering". The subject of the demonstration was Reactions in Fused Glass. When fusing different types of glass together, the metal oxides that create each color are sometimes compatible and sometimes, there is a reaction where they touch. It's a subject of great interest to glass fusers because reactions can make or break a project, depending on if it's planned or unexpected.
