What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assess where they are as a musician and briefly review what they have already learned. Then we start basic techniques and basic theories and procedures.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a life-long musician, since the age of 5 years old. I have performed with many bands, artists, stage plays, and studio sessions. Music major from Texas Southern University, and retired public school music instructor for 22 years.

My pricing varies on the level and expectations from each student.
How did you get started teaching?
I come from a family of educators. I simply love passing on my knowledge and expertise. I was a music teacher in public schools for over 20 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mostly worked with school aged students. Mostly elementary and high school students. I have had a few adult students as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was recently send a photo from a former principal of one of my students first day on campus as a new teacher at the school.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask the level of expertise in their field. Ask the instructional procedure, and ask for some sort of small curriculum example.
