About
My curriculum is an extremely efficient and goal-oriented form of instruction.
The first step is identifying the goals of the individual student.
The second step is creating a unique and efficient curriculum based on that student and their strengths
After these steps, the lessons have an air of consistency, patience, and compassion with the goal of always moving forward.
In addition to my student's goals, my lessons also include a focus on being a good MUSICIAN not just a guitar player. There is a focus on music theory, ear training, and listening. This is in addition to the guitar-oriented subjects of: note identification, chord construction, scales, picking/strumming, improvisation, etc.
I love teaching because of the joy it brings to my students. I feel extremely comfortable and confident teaching music and that makes the experience even better for both myself and my students. Who wouldn't love teaching music!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in music with a focus on jazz (The University of Akron School of Music).
I have over 4 years of teaching experience.
I am the principle guitar player for HooDoo productions (Berlin, Germany). I perform guitar in all of their theater productions in Germany.
I am also a full-time guitarist for many productions in Houston. (Feel free to reach out if you would like more info on this).
I have been playing guitar for 20 years and have been a professional musician for 15 years.
