* Please read this before you contact me. If you are not 18, please ask your parent to contact me. I live in Houston, Texas. I can teach you locally in person or over zoom or FaceTime. I teach Trumpet or French horn. I can teach basic skills of how to read music and basic music theory no matter what instrument you play.

I have been teaching privately and in the school systems of Houston, Tx for 30 years. I have taught in the Woodlands, Conroe, Klein, Spring and Humble school districts. My students have been highly successful including many All-State, University and professional students. I am available for in person lessons, as well as zoom or FaceTime.

Here is a text I received from a student. This student had been first chair in middle school out of 100 people at region band. She was hit in the face with a ball, and it changed the course of what she ended up doing with her life. She continued to play, but it was a real struggle through high school. This is a text from her:

“Hey Ms. Moore it’s Ellyse. I graduate today and I just wanted to let you know that I would not be where I am today without you. Even when I wanted to give up on myself you always pushed me to be better and I’m very grateful for your guidance the past 7 years. I hope you have a great day!”
