I enjoy watching students learn the subtle truths about music. In most every student the come to an "Aha" moment. When they finally understand the puzzle. Thats when they really begin to learn.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The initial lesson is to find out what level the student is on. Based on the level of guitar proficiency and knowledge of music theory, I create a lesson plan based on their needs and genre of choice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching for 12 years and have been playing guitar for 34 years.

One on one lessons with younger students is more productive.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are ready to learn music theory. I good guitar/bass instructor will make sure you understand the theory and also the guitar technique needed.
