About
I really enjoy teaching! Shooting and teaching, that's the bonus!! Nothing better then seeing a student excel and truly understand what I'm teaching them. I teach handgun, rifle and shotgun.
I do not offer CHL. It has turned into a "puppy mill" program and to many instructors are happy to take your money and not care if you know anything about the weapon!!!
I teach everything you need before you are ready to even think about getting a CHL. You need to be proficient with a firearm before you get a CHL!!!
Being able to empower someone to take care of themselves and there families! Its not just about having the ability to carry a firearm, but to be comfortable and proficient with that tool.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I never assume anything, including my students knowledge. First we meet and discuss what you are looking for. You may have never owned or fired a firearm, or you may have been shooting your whole life, and want some refresher training. I I want you to get the most out of your training time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 years, US Navy. 12 years active, working with Naval Special Warefare. 18 years reserve, Marine infantry and scout sniper. Navy Small Arms Instructor. Range Master.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I don't have a standard rate, everyone is at a diffrent level. Initial meeting is $25. Average hourly is $75. Prefer cash, but I have paypal, venmo and cash app.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always like teaching, it's very rewarding to me. I got into firearms training during my time in the service, where I became a small arms instructor and range master. When I returned home from a deployment, I net a friend that just started a small CHL business and joined him. After a couple of years, we had more and more students come in for there CHL that had little to no firearms knowledge! I got out of the business because it turned into a "puppy mill" for a gun license.
A few years had passed and a buddy from the service call and said his mom was mugged in a parking lot and she wanted to learn how to use a gun to defend herself. After training her, and a few of her friends, along with the possibility of Constitutional carry coming to our state, I decided to start training people to be safe and defend themselves.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You need a personal connection. Find someone that understands your needs and is willing to tailor a training program for you!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Who available will you be if I have questions between lessons?
How long will it take to get from where I am to where I want to be?
If I decide to look for additional training, outside of our agreement, will that cause an issue?
