I am an experienced Math teacher from Houston. I am also a Math-certified teacher in Texas. I have taught Geometry and Algebra, at the High School level (8 years). I am teaching diverse Math courses, at Community Colleges, in Houston (10 years).
I have a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineer from Louisiana State University (LSU), Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And an MBA degree from the University of Houston (UH), main campus, Houston, Tx.
I can help students with homework, review, re-teaching, word problems, and math reinforcement. I will work with students using different instructional strategies depending on the student's needs. I can also help in math tutorials to Spanish-speaking students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will ask the student to complete a form where he/she will indicate his background in mathematics. Based on that information, I will talk to the student more in depth to understand better the written information provided, and assess his prior knowledge and where he/she needs to work on. With practice and conversations, the student will learn to build on his confidence and mastery of the subject.
