My name is Mark D. I'm a self taught mixed media artist. My artwork ranges from tradition the contemporary. I work as a full time muralist and teach art for a Non profit called ARTReach in Katy. I'm currently an artist in residence for Katy Contemporary Arts Museum. One of my passions is teaching, with 10 years experience I am flexible in all mediums of art.

Although I teach I am still learning new techniques and media applications. I have been painting for 10 years and have studied art most my life.

I started teaching in 2012 with a non profit called ARTreach in Katy.
What types of students have you worked with?
Underprivileged kids, juveniles and foster care facilities. My favorite is working with senior citizens!

Teaching art at a senior living facility.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I believe that art is 10% thinking and 90% heart.
