Hello,
I'm Uzo. Producer, filmmaker, editor, and director. I've worked with a variety of organizations like the NFL, Morgan Stanley, Nike, Voice of America, University of Maryland, National Geographic, local businesses, restaurants on their creative content and editing. I have extensive experience in broadcast media, social media content creation/marketing strategy, data management, public health research, photography, podcasts, teaching multi-media production, solving business challenges with digital design, marketing, and social media analytics consulting. The intersections between creative media, social media platforms and digital marketing drive my passion and I look forward to this opportunity to share my passion and experience with our class.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will learn the technical basics to film and photography so no matter where you are in the world, you can capture it with quality like a pro! We will learn about how light makes it possible for our eyes and lenses to see the beauty of our world. Light is your best friend. Understanding light allows your photos and film to flourish in any setting you find yourself.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a professional filmmaker. University of Maryland, behavioral scientist and researcher. I've done film projects for National Geographic, Nike, Morgan Stanley, Voice of America, 2021 Presidential Inauguration, NFL affiliates, Global news affiliates and the University of Maryland.
How did you get started teaching?
I started with teaching my clients on commercial projects then started an after school program for children in underserved communities as well as partnering with other non profits to teach youth.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ive worked with students at all levels from elementary school kids to PHD professors at the University level.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I filmed the 2021 Presidential Inauguration for Voice of America. Live coverage aired all around the world.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be patient on this journey. The camera is like a 3rd eye that you must be willing to learn how to see everything through in a new way
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Dont hesitate to ask!! No question is a bad one.
