AS Soccer
About
My teaching service differs from most of the traditional American soccer coaches, even when I understand there are strong demands on the physical aspect of the game, I consider fundamental to have athletes with good qualities on the ball, know how to position their bodies on the field and especially more than playing the game I look that my athletes understand the game.
What I enjoy the most about coaching and teaching soccer is how I see my athletes improving and implementing the skills we work on their games. Just knowing I made part of the formation of young boys and girls that will see soccer and sports as a way of living and potentially a tool to go to college and pursue their professional dreams makes my job completely worth it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to keep it as simple as possible, I just look to know on what soccer level is the student, what are the goals the athlete want to achieve and know how they feel about their strenghts and weaknesses about their game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've played academy and college levels in Colombia, Mexico and the US. Here in Texas I played JUCO, afterwards transfer to play NAIA division I in Oklahoma and currently I make part of a NAIA DI School in Iowa.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons will cost $40 to $60 (depending on the travelling distance), the length of the session will be from 1 hour to 1.5 hours. It can be paid in Cash or Zelle.
How did you get started teaching?
I started back in Colombia when I was already playing in college level, teaching specially young athletes the foundations of soccer and emphasizing how important will be for their careers to emphasize working on their basics.
What types of students have you worked with?
Athletes from 12-20 years old.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who is involved in modern soccer, this is a sport that has constant changes and teachers are required to be updated to the requirements of the modern game. Aditionally look for a teacher that has been connected on top level soccer systems, such as college soccer/ semipro/ pro organizations, is not just teaching the athlete but also analyzing with them what path ways will be benefitial for a potential move in the future.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I consider they need to know where do they want to be, have a role model and have clear objectives. With this a teacher can work on developing weaknesses and keep improving strenghts according to the position of the athlete.
