I am a current senior at Sam Houston State University studying to get a Bahelor of Science majoring in math and secondary education. I have had experience doing substitute teaching and wish to become a better teacher. I am also a veteran.
I am very personable with any student and can be understanding to many aspects of life. I try to make math as fun as I can because I find math fun but not everyone shares the same view.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would like to see where the student is by having them teach me what they know. I find that having them teach builds confidence and can also clear things up any confusions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a veteran who has led soldiers during a deployment. I was also a substitute teacher and am now a college student to become a math teacher.
How did you get started teaching?
I did some soul searching and talked to my past teachers, then become a substitute teaching and I truly enjoyed it. I gained a passion for teaching and preparing our future generation.
What types of students have you worked with?
While being a substitute teacher, I mainly got my experience with junior high students but I still was able to deal with different types of students in the standard and advanced classes.
