I was the lead photography instuctor for University of Texas contenuing education dept from 1998 to 2018 I have worked professionally in photography for 40 years. Now I am teaching the same two ( My favorite classes to teach ) intro courses indepently at Photos on the vine photography studio in Fort Worth, (Very close to The Arlington Fort Worth city lines. Introduction to Digital Photography I. and Digital Photography II Flah and Lowlight photography.
Classes are limited to enrollment of a max enrollement of 8 the room comportably holds 12 but I save 4 seats for students who missed a session and need to make it up. (No extra charge after all life happens and you did pay for it) The type of camera needed is one of the the following 1. A DSLR interchangeble lens camera. 2. An interchangeble lens Mirrorless camera. 3. A ZLR all in one type camera.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I conduct classes of between 3 and 8 students. I teach three ways 1. Demonstrating with a camera. 2. Powerpoint lecture. 3. Followed by getting up from our seats and hands on doing what we just talked about. The Digital 1 class is 6 sessions one night a week 7:30 to 9:30 pm for 5 weeks with a Sunday Field trip between the last two week night classes. The cost for the course is $165,00
The Digital II class is 5 weeks four night sessions and one field trip. Cost is 150.00
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training originally was self teaching. Then I first majored in Film Porduction, though I wound up with a degree in Anthropology. While employed as civilian by the Navy for a decade. I took numerous courses and workshops both civilian and Military. I have been a working professional photographer for 40 years. Though I have scaled back a lot and consitrate on teaching it more so now.
