About
Im a former professional baseball player with experience in teaching and instructing all fundamental aspects of the game! I also teach players how to understand the mental part of the game! My goal is to train young people through baseball how to become Major League people! I've been working with young people throughout the country for over 30 years from ages 4-college age players.
Having the opportunity to utilize baseball to help train young players mentally and physically about the game and how it relates to their everyday lives! Creating bonds with the teams, families, and players I work with and continue following and supporting them as they continue to grow and mature! Helping them embrace their successes and help them to recover and continue moving forward as well as learn from their losses and failures!

Evaluation so I can begin to understand what he needs to work on however I will also explain to the parents what we will be working on.

I played baseball at Indiana State University where we were part of the 1986 World Series. Played 8 years of professional baseball with the Houston Astros organization. Played 2 years of winter ball in Mexico (Tijuana and Los Mochis). I usually charge $30 for a 30 min lesson and $50 for a 1 hour lesson. However I do ask parents to pay for the tunnel rental. The facilities I use tunnel fees are usually $20/30 min and $40/hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always loved the game of baseball and when I felt it was time to retire or give up the game I knew I wanted to coach or instruct! Baseball gave me so much so I've been giving back to the game! I was blessed to have very influential coaches in my life from Little League, High School, College, and Pro Ball and as a player I realized how much the game of baseball is similar to the game of life!
What types of students have you worked with?
Boys and girls ages 4-14, high school players, collegiate players and professional players! Any player and family that loves the game of baseball and I can show them how the sport and the various skills needed to play the sport relates to everyday life situations! I want to utilize the sport of baseball to teach young players how to become MAJOR LEAGUE PEOPLE!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Any event that utilizes baseball or sports to support a great cause! I'm a big supporter of cultural awareness, child protection, mental health issues and cancer awareness!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are being honest with you and ask you what is the player trying to get out of the game of baseball? INSTRUCTORS MUST ALWAYS BE HONEST TO THE FAMILY AND PLAYERS UNDER THEIR INSTRUCTION!!!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
An instructor whose parents trust their child learning to them should help guide the student before they meet! What position(s) do you play? What's your favorite position? What do you feel are your strengths? What do you feel are your weaknesses? There is so much you can help a young player with by just getting the answers or a players reaction to these simple questions!
