Basketball Skills And Development
About
As a former McDonalds All-American and NCAA Division player, I work with all levels including high school, college and professional, helping athletes hone their skills and fostering qualities like sportsmanship and collaboration in the team. I can also help strategize about game tactics, lead practices and manage games.
I absolutely love to teach. In addition to sports, I also have experience teaching in the classroom. But mostly what i love about being a basketball coach is that in addition to helping others, it also forces me to grow and learn patience. Whether this is when you're working with your team and learning new ways of dealing with irritation and conflict because you can't simply lose your temper. You will need to learn to use good negotiation tactics and communications skills and this a metaphor for life.

What types of students have you worked with?
All students from all nationalities and from all skill levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my fondest memories is teaching a group of middle schoolers how to shoot a basketball. Shooting is with your feet from your lower body, but most people think its only from your hands. So to see a child's face light up once they make a basket brings me joy
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your teacher is knowledgeable in the specific areas you are looking for and can be flexible with your schedule.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think oftentimes students think about the short term, but I would like students to think about their long-term goals.
