About
Hello future students, my name is Charissa! I have a degree in accounting and business management. Also, I have a paralegal certification. My tutoring experience is broad. I have been tutoring for several years. I have tutored all ages, levels, and special needs. I have been tutoring an autistic young girl in math for the past seven years. Also, I have tutored high school students in all levels of algebra. I like to incorporate the one-to-one approach in my tutoring sessions. This allows me to focus on trying several different teaching techniques in order to determine the most effective way to help the student understand the topic at hand.
I am very flexible and versatile. I have the ability to adjust to each student's learning style. I am patient, respectful, and empathetic with each of my students. I enjoy using my experience, knowledge, and talent to help others learn. I am very hands-on. I incoporate visuals and powerpoints to help with the explanations of my lessons. I look forward to helping students gain confidence and excel in the subjects with which they are having problems.
