Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have one quick phone conversation with the student or parent (or host) so I can evaluate the situation and/or access the student's skill level and expectations.
There is a one time supply fee due at the time of the first class session of $50. I will have everything you or your student needs to get started prepared in advance at the first lesson. After that each lesson is an hour and a half long at $45 one hour private lesson. Once a week is recommended.
I am also available for PWP group parties too! Call me for availability and group rates.
Let's get started Painting with Passion!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self taught artist and have hung my art in local galleries and shows. I have sold several pieces, but most of all I enjoy teaching what I have learned to others who are just beginning their painting journey.
Right now, I have a day job and do this in the evenings and on my days off during the week, so I will only be accepting a limited number of students.
My group classes are tons of fun! If you are interested in setting one up for your next shin dig just message me here and I'll hook you up ;)
I hope I can inspire you to want to keep on Painting with Passion!
Note: I am not a "fine artist" although art is clearly subjective. I like to teach beginners how to paint intuitively and abstract/expressionism is my style. I love this method as there clearly are no wrong answers and it helps students to become more confident in their painting, which is more than 1/2 the battle!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
PRIVATE LESSONS: $45 for a one hour private lessons for all ages. There will be a one time $50 supply set up fee due at first class. Student will keep these supplies.
PRIVATE PWP GROUP PAINTING PARTIES for Adults: $30-$60 for 3/4 hour lesson due at time of party at your location of choice. *There is a $20 non-refundable deposit for each student to reserve spot to be collected in advance by host.
How did you get started teaching?
I was asked by several people who saw some of my pieces, "How do you do THAT?!!! I want to learn! Can you teach me how to paint?" LOL #truth
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly Beginners
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I finally started my PAINTING WITH PASSION YOUTUBE CHANNEL!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Explore different styles of painting that YOU like and eventually you will find a style you like best....maybe, because I still like several different styles. Most of all, stay away from dry and boring teachers who maybe well learned technically but they just can suck the fun right out of painting! I mean, what's the point right? Painting is supposed to be an enjoyable kind of sport! Also, make sure you get along with your teacher well and that he/she helps YOU to bring out YOUR inner artist, not theirs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do you want to learn how to do?
What is your favorite style of art?
Do you want to show your art or sell your art someday?
